Metamorphosis Animation

In Me, Mikaila Keawe, and Viora Yamamoto's project we plan to use one or the other ideas we came up with which we will be using. One is about a guy that hates nature and becomes a plant and a caterpillar helps him then he can shape shift into only animals and plants. Then develops a sense of loving nature and becoming animals and trees. The animating application is called Stykz an easy to use site. It is a stop motion/Photoshop way of doing the animation.

In our Styxz animation our main focus is to inspire kids that you can be so much more you just have to be confident. So in our first scene it shows A monkey named Joey getting abused by his mother. And some kids experience this so we are just showing them a way to fix it. In the next scene Joey stands up to his mom and becomes a human with a lot of confidence. Next Joey with no human parents gets sent to a foster home. Living with other kids was cool but the people taking care of them heavily verbally and physically abuses them. Joey runs away. Later after remembering that the other kids are still there he confronts the people taking care of them with the police and arrests the people for abuse. Then all the other kids and Joey go and live at this gigantic very nice house and live happy ever after.

I think that we did pretty ok for being behind. We never really met up all as a team. I think we could have a way better one to if we actually had done a lot of the tasks at hand. My biggest challenge is to be more on task at all times and also be a better team leader than what I have been previously. What I think we did good at is probably the team cooperation. Even though we didn't talk a lot we still made good plans in them. Our animation is a Styxz/photoshop animation. We decided since we were ok at photoshop and Styxz we should make animation with the two programs together. Overall our animation is a 2-3in a 1-4 grade.

Everyone has a unique way of showing facial expressions.Around psychological research has classified six facial expressions which correspond to distinct universal emotions: disgust, sadness, happiness, fear, anger, surprise. Everyone has a unique way of showing facial expressions. People may or may not have the same face or mindset to make the same facial expression as you.But they can understand what it is your feeling.

Easy

In our newest project it involves facial expressions. first of all you need to take a picture of you or yourself with a facial expression in a unique way to put emotion into the picture. Then you would download it into finder and rename the image. Next, you can open it in photoshop and start the process of making triangle shapes by using the line tool. After covering your whole face with triangles you can merge them into 1 and start to add the cool look.

My poly portraits are two similar pieces of art but they are not the same. They have a totally different way of making them. one uses an average color and the other is custom. They are different because one was my first and second. One also has more detail. Also they both used different camera qualities. But these two both use he same program to make them. The both where my creations. They are similar because the are both (Polys).     

Verbal Landscapes

Nature is a calm and peaceful way of life. Yet at the same time it can be savage. Me I am like nature savage and peaceful. Mostly peaceful. Nature also brings good things, good adventures. Even though nature has wifi and iPads it can bring memories like never before.I like to go and enjoy nature while I still can. Nature is also a very cleansing place to just get peace AND QUITE. Nature it is one of a kind.

Time-lapses are created by speeding up a regular clip of any sort to make the clip seem to go faster than it was already. Slow-mos are different. They make the clip sssslllloooooowwwww down. In a phone you can do slow-mos. but do you ever know how it does it. It first puts parts in the slow mo and slow them down 6 percent. And you can't adjust the speed. Also if you use regular video and use a app like Final Cut Pro X. You can make video fast or slow.


My Favorite part is the filming and editing. The filming part of the project is not as hard but keeping it steady is hard. During the timelapse I did yesterday I was at Kealia river mouth and sat down on a pile rocks letting the camera do it's thing, filming. Editing is my favorite part to because it show how much better you become through years or days of experience. Editing also makes your project better that just film put together.

Poetic Personal Statement

Hello welcome back to my blog. This year is a fresh start and let's begin with this new poetic post!

A poem can be many things and are things. A poem is a sequence of words that relate to what the writer is writing about. A poem is also a way of expressing something. Like love, feeling, and emotion. A poem can also share things about the writer. Like if he/she is in a dark time period or in a happy one. Poems are different than books. Books are a another way of expressing emotion but it tells a complete story. A poem is a story but it tells less details.

I always wanted to travel,

Always walking on gravel,

Confidence will make you stand,

Make things understand,

It makes you feel strong,

It will support right not wrong.

Confidence is the key to the door,

Music Video Finale

For the last project of the year we are doing a music video. Their are two important things storyline and the lyrics. The way that they are in common is by what they mean. The storyline is a story about the song. Like our song Justin Bieber "Sorry". We are making a story of how I broke her bodyboard and i'm trying to say sorry. The lyrics are the way to express the feelings in the story. One last way that they relate is by telling a story with the lyrics.

My favorite fast edit montage sequence is when it the different clips go closer and farther from the person singing it. Like a close up to the face and a wide of the scenery. What we are gonna do is something a little different we are gonna use a medium, close, and wide shots. We are also doing a little different shots to. The fast editing montage is a good way of getting attention and interest into you music video. Also one of my favorite is the one from "Paradise" by Coldplay. I like how the song has a lot of meaning to the lyrics like how a elephant escapes to paradise to find his friends.

This music video showcases my best work from the whole year by the things I learned like the composition techniques that make the video a little more interesting. Shot types like wide, medium, and close will make the video look cooler. This better showcases my teams work by showing how much we learned all year. Character Development

I am the type of person who is always helping. I always like to be the leader of things. I really like to be first in some scenarios. I am a kind person that likes to have fun in everything I do.  I am also the type of person who doesn't like to not be the leader.

I want to exaggerate the leader  trait of me. I think this is a good position for me because the  fact that I am a good leader in real life. I think I can do this by asking my team that yo be like a leader of a group and do different challenges by leading and asking questions to the teammates to help on the quest or something. I also want to exaggerate the kindness I have. I think I can do this by offering my teammates to help in some scenarios.

To make a .GIF you need to need to get whatever you want to make a .GIF and make a layer. Next what you want to do is get the animation sidebar up by clicking the layer and also make layers into frames. Next you want to make a copy of that layer. Then the animating begins. I like to make .GIFs
because you can make anything. I also like them because you can use your imagination.

Hockney Style Joiners

My photo montages are different from David Hockney's because his show more of the picture and gets the emotion in it. My photomontages has little emotion and can be improved. This guy Mike was my first (person) photomontage, and David Hockney has done more. Pretty good for a first time.
